Africa Day 2026 at the Nelson Mandela School | photo essay

The Nelson Mandela School hosted a small gathering to celebrate Africa Day, bringing together our Adjunct, academia, civil society, the diplomatic community, students, UCT colleagues and friends of the School.

This gathering was a reminder of the importance of collaboration across various sectors. The programme brought together deep reflections, poetry, spoken word, music and fellowship in celebration of our continent and its people.

Here are some moments captured from the celebration. Thank you to everyone who joined us to commemorate this important day.
