Programme Update for the Nelson Mandela Memorial Centre Architectural Design Competition

The University of Cape Town would like to provide an update to all prospective participants of the Nelson Mandela Memorial Centre and School of Public Governance Architectural Design Competition.

The competition is an important UCT initiative, and despite delays in its launch preparations are ongoing.

The competition programme has been adjusted to allow the university to complete the necessary internal governance, approval and alignment processes ahead of registration.

A revised registration date will be announced once these processes have been concluded. Sufficient advance notice will be provided, and the opening of registration will be widely communicated through this website and other relevant platforms.

The registration period will also be extended as necessary to ensure that prospective participants have adequate time to prepare and register.
UCT recognises that there is considerable interest in this competition and will share further details in due course.
