For Non-ICTS managed services (PeopleSoft, printing and Vula), the service owners have separate helpdesks, detailed below.

  • PeopleSoft
PeopleSoft is the online self-service student administration system used at UCT. For assistance, contact the Student Systems Support (SSS) Helpdesk via email at sss-helpdesk@uct.ac.za or call 021 650 5227 or 4720.

  • UCT Managed Print Services
UCT students have an array of print and copy services available to them through Xerox machines located within the various labs, libraries and document centres on campus. These are managed by Bytes Document Solutions' UCT Managed Print Services.

If you have any problems, you can contact the Bytes Document Solutions MPS Call Centre at 021 650 4815 or email uctmps@altron.com. Onsite support is available between 08h00 and 16h30 on business days.

Telephonic support is available: Weekdays: 08h00 to 20h00
    Saturdays: 09h00 to 17h00

  • Amathuba and Vula
Amathuba and Vula are online collaboration and learning environments used to support UCT courses as well as other UCT-related groups and communities.

Amathuba and Vula are not ICTS services; therefore, should you require additional information or have a query, you can either go to the Amathuba website, the Vula website, or contact the CILT Help team via email at cilt-helpdesk@uct.ac.za, or call 021 650 5500.
