UCT has emerged as the standout performer in South Africa’s first-ever Effie College Challenge, securing both first and second place in a competition designed to test and recognise students’ ability to work with real-world briefs.

The BCom in Management Studies degree team was recognised for their excellent work, receiving the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Award in the Transformation category for 2025.

Congratulations to a new cohort of forty-five exceptional individuals, nine from UCT, who were formally inaugurated as members of the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf).
