Junior Research Fellow
Expertise: Labour economics, education and behavioural economics, all with a focus on econometric applicationâ
Robert is a Junior Research Fellow in the DPRU, having taken up this position in June 2018. He holds a M.Com in Applied Economics (conferred in 2019, with an average above 75%), with an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Economics (both majors with distinction) and an Honours degree in Economics (in the first class), all from UCT. Robert is currently registered for his PhD in Economics, under the supervision of Professors Corné van Walbeek and Justine Burns. His research focusses on the impact of curriculum change on prosocial behaviours, academic intervention and throughput in the economics discipline.
