#GAP webinar featuring Prof Haroon Bhorat: 16 Oct 2020

Prof. Haroon Bhorat, DPRU Director, recently presented at the "Lockdown Economics: Will the Economic Recovery Plan Work?" webinar, hosted by The Brenthurst Foundation and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. 

He offered a "whistle-stop tour" based on the existing data, of the big issues with respect to challenges that the South African economy is facing. He took participants through five big picture matters ranging from growth projections, right through to a few discreet policy considerations.

The webinar discussion followed last Thursday's announcement of Ramaphosa’s Economic Reconstruction and Recovery Plan.
