What does it actually take to publish in reputable general and field economics journals like the American Economic Review( AER), the Journal of Development Economics (JDE), The American Journal of Agricultural Economics (AJAE) & European Review of Agricultural Economics?
The course is entirely free to participants; it is made possible by funding from the CGIAR Standing Panel on Impact Assessment, which supports our Nigeria Country Study evaluating the reach and impact of CGIAR innovations, for which we are grateful.
Over two days, four accomplished researchers and editors will discuss:

🎓 Prof. Aprajit Mahajan, University of California, Berkeley — Co-Editor, Journal of Development Economics
🎓 Prof. Savatore Di Falco, University of Geneva — Former Associate Editor, American Journal of Agricultural Economics & Former Co-Editor, European Review of Agricultural Economics
🎓 Dr. John Loeser – Researcher at the The World Bank Group, Development Impact Evaluation (DIME)
Day one will focus on writing a publishable empirical economics paper, through lectures and hands-on workshop sessions. The day will close with a session on research ethics and replicability, presented by Dr. John Loeser.
Day two will be all about publishing in top general and field journals.
