#UnitedAgainstCorruption

Ahead of International Anti-Corruption Day this coming Saturday, we’re highlighting the #BetrayalReport, compiled by the State Capacity Research Group: an interdisciplinary, inter-university research partnership that aims to contribute to the public debate about ‘state capture’ in South Africa. Launched in May this year, the report: “Betrayal of the Promise: How SA is Being Stolen”, is a major study on the country’s emerging Shadow State.

To mark International Anti-Corruption Day on 9 December 2017, various events are being organized by UNODC field offices, civil society organizations, Governments, and individuals to raise awareness about corruption. UNODC's campaign informs people on how corruption affects many areas of life, and that it is imperative to tackle this crime to achieve the SDGs.

With the slogan ‘United Against Corruption’, they hope to inspire people to “jointly take action by changing their attitudes towards this crime”.
