EfD Researcher Job Listing: Researcher Position in National Biodiversity Accounting

Environment for Development (EfD), is a unit within the School of Business, Economics, and Law at the University of Gothenburg. The EfD Global Hub coordinates a global network of environmental research centres based in the Global South. With this, it has been able to connect, and provide funding to a variety of research across the Global South, and has aided in poverty alleviation, sustainable development, and improvements to conservation, amongst other achievements. EPRU is the South African research centre under the EfD umbrella, and houses one of EfD's seven research programs, NatCap. 

Project description

The position is part of the work package on “Mainstreaming biodiversity through governance innovations” within the Mistra Biopath research program (https://www.mistrabiopath.se/). The position will be placed at the Environment for Development Unit at the University of Gothenburg. The current project period runs up until September 2026, with a possibility for extension based on external evaluation and MISTRA-decisions. This position is intended as an initial career step for potential researchers. A doctoral degree in social sciences, preferably environmental economics or environmental sciences, or an equivalent, is a requirement.
