Olivia Wirth
Olivia Wirth is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Göttingen and is affiliated with the University of Passau, where she received her PhD in Economics at the Chair of Development Economics. She is an applied micro economist with research interests in development, behavioral, and agricultural economics. She applies rigorous causal inference and randomized controlled trials to study technology adoption, financial inclusion, domestic revenue mobilization, and farmers’ adaptation to climate change in sub-Saharan Africa. During her PhD, she was a visiting researcher at The Fletcher School at Tufts University. She holds an MSc in Economics from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) and previously worked as a research assistant at the ifo Institute – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research.
