3The Institute for Monitoring and Evaluation was established in 2009 with the vision of improving the theory and practice of programme monitoring and evaluation in Africa.
The main activities of the IME are:
- Showcasing academic research in monitoring and evaluation
- Consulting to the private and public sectors on programme evaluation
- Doing contract research and evaluations.

MPhil in Programme Evaluation
The MPhil in Programme Evaluation is a specialised degree that provides students with comprehensive knowledge and skills of evaluation theory and practice.
Programme Management: A Monitoring and Evaluation Approach
In this 8-week online short course participants learn to manage complex programmes, and discover the key monitoring and evaluation tools that help facilitate success. The course is offered in collaboration with our online learning partner, GetSmarter.
