Nelson N. Ndahangwapo is a PhD student at the School of Economics, University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa. His research interests are water economics modelling (agricultural risk management tools, such as crop insurance and weather derivatives) and groundwater management modelling. Nelson received his MSc from the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), Ghana. Before starting his PhD journey at UCT, he lectured for three years in the Financial Mathematics program at the University of Namibia. His dissertation addresses agricultural risk mitigation strategies against water scarcity in South Africa.
