Ifedotun Aina
Ifedotun Aina is a doctoral candidate in the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He researches water resources management by leveraging insights from economic and environmental modelling methods. His dissertation focusses on understanding specific themes in the water sector, namely, households’ preferences for water conservation technologies, the impact of tariffs on the choice of water supply source and policy measures to optimise water allocation decisions in large water systems. Ifedotun holds a Bachelor of Agriculture and Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. Aside from his academic pursuits, Ifedotun is passionate about social justice, particularly as it pertains to equitable access to water resources. He enjoys engaging with policymakers and stakeholders to explore innovative solutions to complex water management challenges. In his free time, Ifedotun enjoys hiking, photography, travelling and exploring the rich cultural heritage of Cape Town.
