Luna August

Luna is a higher education professional, researcher and educator with a background in Drama, Media & Writing, and Higher Education Studies. A graduate of the University of Cape Town, Luna completed a BA in Drama and Media & Writing, followed by an Honours degree in Theatre & Performance and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. They are currently completing a Master of Education in Higher Education Studies at Rhodes University, focusing on tutor development, pedagogy and educational technology.

Professionally, Luna specialises in executive administration, governance support, academic advising and student success within higher education. Their work spans institutional planning, curriculum and learning support, student leadership development, and research on belonging and academic advising. Luna has also contributed to published scholarship and conference presentations on student success, inclusive learning design, and higher education transformation.
