Auditor-general releases local government audit results

On 26 June 2016, the auditor-general (AG), Kimi Makwetu released the local government audit results. The auditor-general expressed concern over lack of accountability as he released the audit outcomes.

He also reported: “limited improvements in the audit results of South Africa’s municipalities for the past financial year.”
