From South Africa to Greece
Prof Lindiwe Msengana-Ndlela demonstrates a strong sense of humility!
Congratulations to Prof Lindiwe Msengana-Ndlela on her recent prestigious public office appointment. Prof Msengana-Ndlela is South Africa's Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, Greece, and Non-Resident Ambassador-Designate to Cyprus, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, and Herzegovina.
In October 2023, Prof Msengana-Ndlela presented credentials to the President of the Hellenic Republic, H.E. Ms Katerina Sakellaropoulou. Following the credentials ceremony, Ambassador Msengana-Ndlela had a bilateral meeting with President Sakellaropoulou in which she expressed her hope that the Hellenic Republic and its Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Gerapetritis will continue to place a strong emphasis on the prioritisation of the African Agenda.
Prof Msengana-Ndlela and her team aim to reinforce political and socio-economic relations between South Africa and Greece. The focus is on deepening partnerships with the Diaspora and facilitating cooperation in various areas, such as trade, energy, education, health, science, technology, the environment, disaster management, humanitarian aid, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. These are priority areas in the broader context of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. Prof Msengana-Ndlela hit the ground running - the South African Mission team in Athens held a reception to reinforce the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The University of Cape Town's Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance is privileged and honoured to have Prof Msengana-Ndlela as an Adjunct Professor. She has a long professional association with the School as a facilitator on several high-level leadership training courses.
Halala Prof Lindiwe Msengana-Ndlela halala! We look forward to our strategic collaborations.
