Wendy Hendricks

Wendy Hendricks currently works in Events and Logistics for the Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance. Her prior work experience focused on socio-economic development, having worked at the Western Cape Provincial Development Council, a public entity facilitating socio-economic development amongst stakeholders in the Western Cape and before that, the Urban Foundation.

Wendy has worked for the Southern Africa Labour and Development Research Unit (SALDRU, UCT) at various times, assisting in setting up a minimum wage database, working as the conference administrator for the Carnegie conference: ‘Towards C3 – Strategies to Overcome Poverty and Inequality”. She also assisted with research and the compilation of the following publications:

• Industrial Council Wage Rates in S.A. Vol I (1978 – 1988)
• Shorter Working Hours : Possibilities for S.A.
• Directory of S.A. Trade Unions
