Evidence Course in Gauteng

The Graduate School of Development Policy and Practice, in partnership with the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME) in the Presidency, and the Programme to Support Pro-Poor Policy Development (PSPPD) in the Presidency, will offer a three day introductory course on Evidence-Based Policy-Making and Implementation (EBPM&I) from 27 – 29 May, in Muldersdrift, Gauteng.

The high-level course builds on two successful previous iterations of the course and is offered in response to continued high demand. The course is targeted at strategic leaders and top managers in the public service, and is designed to assist participants to use evidence to make well informed decisions about policies, programmes, projects and services and to improve government’s impact on society.


The course provides an overview of key concepts and tools, as well as a range of national and international resources for use in EBPM&I.

The deadline for course applications has been extended to accommodate high demand for places.
