Highlights from the Atlantic Inequalities Conference

The Mandela School, in collaboration with the LSE Inequalities Institute, hosted a 15 June conference on Inequality, (Under)employment and the Labour Market, with a particular focus on youth. Leading thinkers, including Prof. Ernest Aryeetey, Hilma Mote, Prof. Carlos Lopes, Prof. Ruth Hall and Hon. Prof. Trevor Manuel discussed possible solutions to address inequality in Africa.

As part of the proceedings, the Action for Equity Award winners were announced as Women on Farms. Amidst jubilant celebrations, they were awarded R800 000 to continue combatting inequalities.
