It is therefore essential that you:

  • Submit an email address that is accurate, active, and accessible to you for the entire duration of the course.

  • Use an email address that you intend to retain and access regularly until the end of the course.

Please note that no changes to your registered email address can be made after submission. Any inaccuracies or request to use of an alternative email address may result in missed communications or loss of access to the learning platform.

Course Information:

All registered candidates will receive full access to the online study material via Amathuba, regardless of whether you choose printed books.

 

Printed Books:

Printed books are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

We are using the same printed books from the January 2026 IAC course

If you attended the January 2026 course and already received books, you must reuse them and select the online-only option

If book stock is exhausted, your registration will automatically be changed to online-only, and you will be notified

All material is available online, so you will not be disadvantaged 

 

Delivery of Books:

Books will be couriered from 17 April (once payment is received)

Delivery time for central areas will be 4 to 5 working days and slightly longer for outlying areas

Study material is available digitally (PDFs) on Amathuba while you wait

Only complete the courier address section if you selected printed books

No deliveries outside South Africa

 

Online Sessions:

All workshops and feedback sessions will take place via live MS Teams

Sessions are recorded and uploaded to Amathuba within 48 to 72 hours 

 

Course Start and Platform Access:

Course start date: 24 April with the introductory lecture at 6pm

Access to Amathuba will be granted as follows:

Registrations by 21 April 2026 → Access on 24 April (morning)

Registrations between 22 and 24 April → Access by 28 April

Late registrations (25 to 30 April) → Access by 5 May 

You will receive an email once your access is activated.

 

Invoicing and Payment:

Self-paying candidates:
Invoice sent to your email within 24 to 48 hours of registration

Firm/employer paying:
One consolidated invoice will be sent directly to your firm
All communication will be handled with them 

 

Course Fees:

R4 900 – includes printed books

R4 400 – online only

Full payment is due by 24 April

If you are waiting for final results after 24 April, payment can be made once results are released 

 

Funding:

There is currently no confirmed funding from SAICA/Thuthuka for repeat IAC candidates.

Payment for this course is independent of any funding, and remains the responsibility of yourself, or your employer (if applicable)

Terms and Conditions

Refunds:
No refunds will be issued if a Candidate enrols but does not participate in the course.

Payment Instructions:

  • If you are responsible for paying, do not make payment until you have passed and will register to sit for your IAC with SAICA in June 2026.

  • You may still make payment after the official due date of 24 April 2026.

  • Proof of payment must be emailed to info.ppd@uct.ac.za

  • If you wish to cancel your registration, notify us via info.ppd@uct.ac.za before the course starts.

Candidate Responsibility:

  • You are responsible for notifying us of any changes to your contact or billing information.

  • Any costs resulting from incorrect information (such as invoice errors) will be for your own account.

  • By registering, you confirm that you have read and understood the course information and requirements provided above.

Non-Transferability:
Registrations are non-transferable. Only the individual whose details appear on the registration form may participate in the course. Course material and access credentials may not be shared, transferred, or sold under any circumstances.

Access and Platform Use:
Access to the online learning platform (Amathuba) will only be granted once payment has been verified (i.e. we received your proof of payment OR we have confirmed with your employer that they will be paying your course fee) and all registration conditions have been met. The University is not liable for delays in access caused by late payment, incorrect details, or technical issues beyond our control.

UCT’s Right to Amend or Withdraw Participation:
The University reserves the right to withdraw a Candidate’s participation or access to course material should it be determined that the Candidate no longer meets eligibility criteria, has breached these Terms and Conditions, or has engaged in any conduct deemed inappropriate or dishonest.

SAICA Registration:
This registration is only for the UCT IAC Preparatory Course.
You must complete a separate registration with SAICA to write the IAC exam in June 2026.

Final Authority:
The University’s decision in all matters relating to registration, eligibility, and participation in the course is final and binding.
