All our exams/assessment will be venue-based and will be done using SAICA's exam software. 

We will have designated exam venues in:

  • Bloemfontein
  • Cape Town
  • Durban
  • East London
  • Gqeberha
  • Johannesburg
  • London, UK

For Trainees based in the UK and who will be writing at our venue in London, please note that your programme fee will be slightly higher. This is due to the exchange rate and the cost for venue and invigilator hire.

If you are not able to attend one of our designated venues in the cities mentioned above, you will need to select the "own venue and invigilator" option. You are required to secure a suitable exam venue and source an invigilator. Please email us on info.ppd@uct.ac.za if you require more information.

Information around the exam software and venue details will be shared with you once the programme has commenced.

If you are not able to write our exams on a Saturday, due to religious reasons, please email us on info.ppd@uct.ac.za after the programme has commenced.

You will only need to sit for this exam if you fail the exam in August
  • You need to let us know if you will be paying your programme fees OR if your firm/company will be paying for this on your behalf.
  • If you are paying for your fees, then we will be emailing your invoice to you within 48 hours after you have received your official confirmation email.
  • If you have selected that your firm will be paying, then we will invoice your firm directly as per the information provided below.

Trainees based in London
If you indicate that your employer will pay, please complete the sections below as well. If you will be paying, you can skip this and move to the T&C's.
  • Your acceptance to the UCT APC Professional Programme for 2025 will be based on the information completed above and what you will submit, as per the date you indicate below.  
  • You will be notified of your acceptance via email within 24 to 48 hours after you have submitted this registration form.
  • Your acceptance may be revoked if you have any outstanding ITC/IAC Preparatory Course fees and/or APC Professional Programme fees.
  • Access to the programme will be granted on 24 February 2025.
  • To continue on the programme, full payment of the programme fees must be made by 31 March 2025 or as per the payment plan (if this is what you have selected).
  • Failure to make payment as per the stipulated due dates, will result in you being suspended from the programme and your access removed from our online learning platform.
  • No deferral will be permitted. 
  • Should a Candidate withdraw from the programme after 1 April 2025, they will not be refunded and will be required to re-register and pay the full fees should they elect to enrol for the 2026 presentation of the programme.
  • No refunds will be made should a Candidate register, participate in, but fail to complete the programme.
  • The onus is on the Candidate to notify UCT's Professional Programmes and Development Administrative Team via info.ppd@uct.ac.za of any change to contact information.
  • Any cost incurred as a result of the Candidate providing incorrect information, such as incorrect invoice details, will be for the Candidate's account.
  • Candidates who do not successfully complete a mandatory Professional Programme, will not be permitted by SAICA to write the APC exam in 2025.
