Alex is the Richard Sonnenberg Professor of Accounting at the College of Accounting (UCT) and is the teaching and learning coordinator for the college. She specialises in framework-based teaching, and is the editor of a number of financial reporting textbooks. She is a member of IASCF’s Education Advisory Group and is a board member of the Global Reporting Initiative Professor Watson currently serves as an independent director and audit committee chair of a listed company.
