Goolam is an associate professor, the deputy head of the College of Accounting and section head for Financial Reporting. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate financial reporting courses at the College of Accounting (UCT). Goolam is the co-author of Financial Accounting: IFRS Principles and an adjudicator for the EY Excellence in Integrated Reporting survey. He is also an independent, non-executive director of various companies.
