All our exams/assessment will be venue-based and will be done using SAICA's exam software. 

We will have designated exam venues in:

  • Bloemfontein
  • Cape Town
  • Durban
  • East London
  • Gqeberha
  • Johannesburg
  • London, UK

For Trainees based in the UK and who will be writing at our venue in London, please note that your programme fee will be slightly higher. This is due to the exchange rate and the cost for venue and invigilator hire.

If you are not able to attend one of our designated venues in the cities mentioned above, you will need to select the "own venue and invigilator" option. You are required to secure a suitable exam venue and source an invigilator. Please email us on info.ppd@uct.ac.za if you require more information.

Information around the exam software and venue details will be shared with you once the programme has commenced.

If you are not able to write our exams on a Saturday, due to religious reasons, please email us on info.ppd@uct.ac.za after the programme has commenced.

You will only need to sit for this exam if you fail the exam in August
  • You need to let us know if you will be paying your programme fees OR if your firm/company will be paying for this on your behalf.
  • If you are paying for your fees, then we will be emailing your invoice to you within 48 hours after you have received your official confirmation email.
  • If you have selected that your firm will be paying, then we will invoice your firm directly as per the information provided below.

UCT APC Professional Programme (2026)

  • Acceptance into the UCT APC Professional Programme for 2026 is based on the information provided in this registration form and any supporting information submitted, as at the date of submission.

  • Candidates will be notified of their acceptance via email within 24 to 48 hours of submitting this registration form. 

  • UCT reserves the right to revoke acceptance should the Candidate have any outstanding ITC/IAC Preparatory Course fees and/or APC Professional Programme fees.

  • Access to the programme will be granted on 23 February 2026.

  • To remain enrolled in the programme, full payment of the programme fees must be made by 31 March 2026, or in accordance with the approved payment plan selected by the Candidate. 

  • Failure to make payment by the stipulated due dates will result in suspension from the programme and removal of access to the online learning platform (Amathuba).

  • No deferrals are permitted.

Refunds and Withdrawals

  • No refunds will be issued if a Candidate enrols but does not participate in the programme.

  • Should a Candidate withdraw from the programme after 1 April 2026, no refund will be issued. 

  • Candidates who withdraw and later elect to enrol for the 2027 presentation of the programme will be required to re-register and pay the full programme fees.

  • No refunds will be made where a Candidate registers for, participates in, but fails to complete the programme.

  • If a Candidate wishes to cancel their registration prior to the commencement of the programme, written notification must be submitted to info.ppd@uct.ac.za

Payment Instructions

  • Candidates who are personally responsible for payment must make payment by the relevant due dates

  • If you indicated that your employer will be making payment, we will send the invoice directly to the contact person you have provided.

  • Proof of payment must be emailed to info.ppd@uct.ac.za

  • A discount may be offered to employers who commit to block bookings, subject to UCT’s approval and applicable terms.

Candidate Responsibility

  • The onus rests with the Candidate to notify UCT’s Professional Programmes and Development Administrative Team at info.ppd@uct.ac.za of any changes to contact or billing information.

  • Any costs incurred as a result of incorrect or incomplete information provided by the Candidate, including incorrect invoice details, will be for the Candidate’s account.

  • By registering, the Candidate confirms that they have read and understood the course information, requirements, and conditions outlined above.

Programme Requirements and SAICA Conditions

  • Candidates who do not successfully complete a mandatory Professional Programme will not be permitted by SAICA to write the APC examination in December 2026.

  • Candidates opting to complete both the IAC and APC in 2026 are advised that, should their June 2026 IAC results be unsuccessful, they will not be permitted to continue with the programme and will be automatically removed.

  • Candidates are required to familiarise themselves with the programme requirements as set out in the Path to Success document.

  • This registration is for the UCT APC Professional Programme only. Candidates are required to complete a separate registration with SAICA in order to sit for the APC examination. Further information is available on the SAICA website.

Non-Transferability

  • Registrations are strictly non-transferable. 

  • Only the individual whose details appear on the registration form may participate in the programme. 

  • Course material, login credentials and access to the learning platform may not be shared, transferred, or sold under any circumstances.

AI-Assisted Assessment and Grading

  • By registering for the UCT APC Professional Programme and submitting this form, the Candidate acknowledges and consents to the use of an AI-assisted grading tool (Traverse Studio) for grading applicable programme assessments.

  • The AI-assisted grading tool assesses submissions against criteria set by the UCT academic team and operates with academic oversight, quality assurance processes and human review of flagged and borderline cases. 

  • UCT retains full academic responsibility for all assessment outcomes.

  • Assessment submissions are processed securely and confidentially, are not used to train AI models and are handled in accordance with UCT policies and applicable data protection legislation.

UCT’s Rights and Final Authority

  • UCT reserves the right to withdraw a Candidate’s participation or access to the programme should it be determined that the Candidate no longer meets eligibility requirements, has breached these Terms and Conditions, or has engaged in conduct deemed inappropriate or dishonest.

  • The University’s decision in all matters relating to registration, eligibility, participation, and programme administration is final and binding.
