Course Information

The course officially begins on Monday, 1 December 2025, with the Introductory Lecture.

All registered candidates will receive full access to the online course material, regardless of whether they choose to receive a physical set of books.

Our online learning platform is called Amathuba, and your access will be activated according to the registration timelines below. You will receive an email notification once your access has been granted.

Access Release Schedule:

  • Registrations submitted on or before 24 November 2025 → Access email sent on the morning of 1 December 2025

  • Registrations submitted between 25 and 28 November 2025 → Access granted by 4 December 2025

  • Registrations submitted between 29 and 30 November 2025 → Access granted by 5 December 2025

If you submit your registration after 25 November 2025, please allow up to 5 working days for processing and access activation.

 


Lectures and Consultations

All lectures and consultations will take place online via live Microsoft Teams sessions.
These sessions will be recorded and uploaded to Amathuba within 48–72 hours after each session, allowing you to catch up if you cannot attend live.

 


Course Material (Physical Books)

If you selected the “with books” option:

  • Cape Town-based candidates can collect their books from UCT starting 1 December 2025. Collection details will be included in your registration confirmation email.

  • Candidates outside of Cape Town will have their books couriered from 4 December 2025.

You will receive an email on 1 December 2025 containing a link to confirm your delivery address.
Completing this form is essential if you would like your books to be sent via courier.

Please note: We do not courier outside of South Africa.

 


Invoicing and Payment
  • If you are personally responsible for payment, your invoice will be emailed directly to the email address provided in your registration form within 24–48 hours of submission.

  • If your firm or bursar is responsible for payment, an invoice will be issued directly to them based on the details provided in your registration. Firms will receive one consolidated invoice, and all related communication will take place directly with them.

 


Course Fees
  • R4 900 – includes printed books

  • R4 400 – excludes printed books

Full payment is due by 30 November 2025.

If you will only receive your final results after 30 November, you may make payment as soon as your results are released.

  • If you have indicated that your firm or bursar will be paying your course fees, please complete the below.
  • It is very important to ensure that the information you enter is accurate and up to date.
  • Incorrect billing details will result in you being liable for the course fees.
  • If you have indicated that you are paying the course fee, then you do not need to complete the billing details below.

 

Terms and Conditions

Collection or Courier of Course Material:
Collection or courier of physical course material will only take place once:

  • Full payment has been received (if you are responsible for payment), and/or

  • You have passed your PGDA/Honours/CTA and are confirmed to sit for your IAC with SAICA in January 2026.

You may only collect your books or complete the courier address confirmation form once these conditions have been met.

Refunds:
No refunds will be issued if a Candidate enrols but does not participate in the course.

Payment Instructions:

  • If you are responsible for paying, do not make payment until you have passed and will register to sit for your IAC with SAICA in January 2026.

  • You may still make payment after the official due date of 30 November 2025.

  • Proof of payment must be emailed to info.ppd@uct.ac.za

  • If you wish to cancel your registration, notify us via info.ppd@uct.ac.za before the course starts.

Candidate Responsibility:

  • You are responsible for notifying us of any changes to your contact or billing information.

  • Any costs resulting from incorrect information (such as invoice errors) will be for your own account.

  • By registering, you confirm that you have read and understood the course information and requirements provided above.

Non-Transferability:
Registrations are non-transferable. Only the individual whose details appear on the registration form may participate in the course. Course material and access credentials may not be shared, transferred, or sold under any circumstances.

Access and Platform Use:
Access to the online learning platform (Amathuba) will only be granted once payment has been verified (i.e. we received your proof of payment OR we have confirmed with your employer that they will be paying your course fee) and all registration conditions have been met. The University is not liable for delays in access caused by late payment, incorrect details, or technical issues beyond our control.

UCT’s Right to Amend or Withdraw Participation:
The University reserves the right to withdraw a Candidate’s participation or access to course material should it be determined that the Candidate no longer meets eligibility criteria, has breached these Terms and Conditions, or has engaged in any conduct deemed inappropriate or dishonest.

SAICA Registration:
This registration is only for the UCT IAC Preparatory Course.
You must complete a separate registration with SAICA to write the IAC exam in January 2026.

Final Authority:
The University’s decision in all matters relating to registration, eligibility, and participation in the course is final and binding.
