All our exams/assessment will be venue-based and will be done using SAICA's exam software.

We will have designated exam venues in:

  • Bloemfontein
  • Cape Town
  • Durban
  • East London
  • Gqeberha
  • Johannesburg
  • London, UK

For trainees based in the UK who plan to write at our London venue, please note that the programme fee will be slightly higher. This is due to exchange rate fluctuations and the additional costs associated with securing the venue and invigilator/s. If you select London, UK as one of your exam venues, an additional fee of R1 000 per exam will be added to your invoice.

If you are unable to attend one of our designated venues in the cities listed above, you may write the exam from a venue of your choice, including from home.

Please note the following important distinction to avoid confusion, particularly if you are preparing in a group with someone registered for the full programme:

The option to write from home without an invigilator is available only to trainees registered for the repeat offering.

Candidates registered for the full programme are required to write at one of our designated exam venues. If none of these venues are accessible due to location, they will need to arrange a suitable alternative venue, secure an invigilator, and liaise with the UCT team in advance to confirm the arrangements.

Information around the exam software and venue details will be shared with you once the offering has commenced.

If you are not able to write our exams on a Saturday, due to religious reasons, please email us on info.ppd@uct.ac.za for more information.

  • You need to let us know if you will be paying your programme fees OR if your firm/company will be paying for this on your behalf.
  • If you are paying for your fees, then we will be emailing your invoice to you within 48 hours after you have received your official confirmation email.
  • If you have selected that your firm will be paying, then we will invoice your firm directly as per the information provided below.
