Core Team
Paul Egan
Paul manages the Institute on a day-to-day basis and is responsible for overseeing all major research assignments. Paul has an MBA from the University of Stellenbosch and has more than 15 years marketing experience with companies like Barclays, Telewest, London Waste and The Qualitative Consultancy.
James Lappeman
James is the Head of Projects at the UCT Liberty Institute of Strategic Marketing. He has a PhD in Business Science, specialising in marketing and consumer behaviour. His research interests include low-income consumer behaviour and segmentation.
Kulsoem Roode
Kulsoem takes care of all financial and administrative functions at the Institute. With 30 years of experience, she is well qualified to keep our team organised.
